About Taty

Oi! My name is Tatyana or 'Taty', I have been vegan and gluten-free for over 10 years, and I have been creating & sharing recipes on Instagram for over 4 years! I get incredibly happy every time my amazing followers DM me photos of them making a recipe of mine, and I am so grateful to have such a supportive community.

I moved to the US from Brasil 10 years ago, and it is so much easier to be vegan here! If you are familiar with Brasil, you may know that some of the main food staples are the meat and cheese, and vegan options were essentially non-existent.

When I was younger, I started to have a lot of stomach and digestion issues on a daily basis, always occurring not long after having meals. My parents tried taking me to the doctor who was less-than helpful, and I thought I was doomed to suffer with these pains for the rest of my life.

My life turned around when I met with the owner of one of the few, if not the only, vegan restaurants in Atibaia who educated me on a gluten-free and vegan 'diet', and helped me begin my journey to living a happier, healthier, and more sustainable lifestyle.

Now I love to educate and help anyone who wants to learn more about a gluten-free and vegan lifestyle and all the delicious foods you can make. I fully believe in living a sustainable, eco-friendly, and healthy lifestyle from the products I buy to the companies I support, and I made sure to bring that with me when creating Brasil Butters.

Everything that is a part of Brasil Butters was chosen with sustainability in mind. With many telling us to use plastic containers for Brasil Butters, it did not feel right and fit our mission of being eco-friendly, so we use glass jars with metal lids made locally here in the US that you can save and re-use forever! Our labels, packing material, and cards are all made from recycled material.

It is extremely important to me to keep not only myself happy and healthy, but the planet as well. That is why buying Brasil Butters supports preserving the Amazon Rainforest and fighting climate change through our partnership with Floresta Em Pe!
